3 Great Reasons to Plan a Styled Photoshoot
Three great things about stepping out of your comfort zone and planning a styled set are; the opportunity to inspire your potential clients with your creativity, getting really fun and engaging content for your marketing purposes, and the opportunity to collaborate with other industries that compliment your industry which will increase your organic reach to potential clients!
Styled sets inspire!
We loved watching this fun styled shoot come together this summer. Chloe, of Glow_by_clo professional makeup artist, came up with the concept and set all the pieces in motion to come up with the perfect summer content to showcase her work. The makeup may not be what she does for the every day client, but it’s interesting and inspiring to look at and showcases her talent. This allows her potential clients to see a more multidimensional side of Chloe than just the every day makeup look. Chloe said her favorite part of this shoot was the unique eye makeup she got the create! It’s NOT her every day, but it showed a side of her she rarely gets to show off and it was so fun to watch it all unfold!
Engaging content for easier marketing.
From this shoot, Chloe, her model Lilyana, and her photographer, Des of Portlxndiia were all able to have fresh, engaging content to post on their social accounts, tag businesses that may share their work (like us!), and use to promote their services or reach out to others that may want to collaborate for future styled sets. Not only did they have fun, but they helped their businesses in the process.
Collaboration is KING!
Owning this studio has taught me that collaboration is KING when it comes to expanding your reach and finding more potential clients. One of the first things I did as a new business owner is host a giant, collaborative styled wedding shoot. Not only did I meet some of the best people (from hair and makeup artists, wedding/event planner, photographers, florists, stationary, models, and event furniture rentals) they’ve all brought me new potential clients by sharing our styled shoot, getting it published, and tagging my venue. I run paid ads, but man, it’s so nice to get that organic reach, am I right?
So if you’re looking to show off your creativity and do something that inspires, needing new content that is relevant and engaging for your marketing purposes, and interested in collaborating with other industries that compliment yours, a styled set is the way to go!
